I have so far only tested search a document based on value of one field. is the simple search able to look for document based on more than one condition. Eg: to select if FieldA=“a” and FieldB=“b”.
I know my simple search document works, as I program it to change the field value to “xxx” once found. However, I just would like to see the tick sign on the left hand side of the view, which currently is not being displayed? is this changes not possible?
Subject: RE: Simple agent search document-how to show tick beside it?
tq for your responses.
For Q1, I am exploring just simple agent, and my output is in notes client, thus URL parameters will not help.
for Q2, currently, in the view, I just select the document by clicking on the vertical column, and the tick sign will appear.
To test whether my agent is selecting the right document, I will like the tick sign to appear as well, however, it doesn’t. I know it selected the document by putting an action to change the value of one of the field in the document. However, I would prefer for the tick sign to appear on the left hand side for the time being.

For #1 - And operator works. I dont know exactly of how you are searching… i.e FTSearch or DBSearch. In either case, you can search based on multiple field values.
For #2 - Once the agent acts upon selected documents it refreshes the view and so all the selected documents (with tick mark) goes away. You cannot do anything with that.

Though you can not display the tick mark the way you want but you can display a tick mark in one of the view columns.
If you would like to do that, you need to select “display value as Icon” check box in view column properties.
when you set the action flag in your processed document, make a field with value as 82 and display in the column where “display value as Icon is checked.”
