This is an FYI for anyone who may have a similar issue.
We have a database that manages Meetings and sends calendar notices. There is a new field in the Notes 8 Mail template in the Notice form that does a calculation using the Comments field. Our code had the Comments field as Rich Text.
To fix this problem we have changed the field to a Text field.
