@setviewinfo and outline entry

ok – I can’t figure this one out. I’ve not used this function before and even though I’ve searched the forum I still can’t figure it out…

I would really appreciate your help.

I have a standard view (not categorized).

The 5th column has a date value that I would like to prompt the user and filter on.

On an outline entry I have the following computed formula:

res:=@Prompt([OkCancelEdit]; “Enter Date”; “Enter date below (MM/DD/YYYY).”; “”) ;

@SetTargetFrame(“NotesView”);

@UpdateFormulaContext;

@Command([OpenView];“PropComm”);

@SetViewInfo([SetViewFilter];@Date(@TextToTime(res));“$5”;1)

Could someone point me in the right direction? MAny thanks.

ok – must be a categorized view??

In a categorized view based on date I get category not found.

ok - if I make the first column @text(…) it works.

But if I do CTRL-A it still selects all docs in the view, not just the filtered category.

I’d like to select just that filtered category for printing purposes.

Any thoughts?
