The loadmon.ncf file contains values for the calculation of the AI index (as shown in the Administrator Client)

Content look like this.

OPEN_DB = 369,944444444444

CLOSE_DB = 48,6428571428571

GET_NOTE_INFO = 77,7090909090909

OPEN_NOTE = 98

READ_OBJECT = 97,3333333333333

GET_OBJECT_SIZE = 86,8571428571429

DB_INFO_GET = 73,9166666666667

DB_REPLINFO_GET = 67,375

I need info as to:

Can I set these setting my self ?

How are they calculated ?

loadmon.ncf contains the minimum elapsed transaction times for the transactions which are used to calculate the Availability Index. It is inapproprite to modify these yourself. Do you have a problem that is leading you to think that editing loadmon.ncf will help? If so, what is that problem?

Please note that the calculation of availability Index in 6.* has some problems and a future Maintenance Release will contain adjustments to the AI calculation to solve these problems.

I don’t suppose that anyone is still monitoring this thread, but here goes…

I’m seeing very “odd” SAI values for my hub server (R6.5) and I’m interested in understanding them. The server suffers from somewhat degraded performance since migrating from R5.0.12.

I don’t want to fabricate values for the loadmon.ncf file. I would like to be sure that the baseline values it contains are realistic. The file was created about a year ago and I question whether the values it contains apply toward a real SAI value. I know I can just delete it and see what happens, replacing it in the event there is a mushroom cloud over my box, but I’d like to hear from an IBM or Lotus person for a little guidance. (I also know this isn’t a support site.)

Can anyone tell me with a degree of certitude whether I can delete this file in order to allow Domino to recreate it with current values?

Regards,

Tom

You can safely delete this file anytime.

If your AI values don’t look right, please read the documentation on Availability Index in the latest release of the Administration Client. It provides instructions for configuring your Domino Server’s AI calculation to match the speed of your machine.
