Setting up Single Sign-on Session (referred by Damien Katz)

Hi,

a friend of mine, Damien Katz, recommended this forum to me. I’m using Domino 6.01 Release February 2003 (i’m not sure if it’s just 6.01 or if it has any CFs) on Windows 2k SP4 Server.

I have 2 questions:

  1. How do I set up a Single Sign-on Session on Domino 6 to interect with IE6.xx(it’s not configured with Internet Sites). According to some documentation I’ve read so far, I’m suppose to create a Web SSO config doc for the Internet Site for Domino 6 (for Domino R5 - I can just create a WEb SSO config doc for the Server config Doc). Is this correct? At this point, I’m not sure what I’m suppose to be creating.

  2. Is it possible to have subdomains on a single Domino Server (similar to Exchange structure: one main domain and then you can create as many as you want sub domains)?

I’d appreciate any thoughts on these 2 subjects.

Subject: Setup SSO like this:

Go to your Server Document, 5th Tab, Internet Protocols. Select the Domino Web Engine sub tab.Session Authentication: either “Single Server” or “Multiple Server (SSO)” depending on your needs.

If you selected Multiple Server, then go to the Web\Internet Sites view and push the button to create a SSO Configuration document.

Then from the server console type “tell http restart”

What if the server was not configured with Internet sites? Would I have to set one up in order to create a SSO configuration document or could I just create a Web SSO configuration document for the Server Configuration document (like for R5)?

Subject: Yes w/ no Internet Sites, Just use the R5 method.

It turns out I created the Web SSO document correctly but there’s an error on the company’s product’s side.
