Setting up a second NAB

I want to have a secondary NAB for users to authenticate with our server thats hosting a website. The users of the site will generally be the public, our main NAB currently only has staff in it so we want to keep the web users separate.

Following discussions on this forum, I am using Directory Assistance. I have done the following:

  1. Created da.nsf from the template on the server.

  2. Edited the server doc and set the directory assistance name to da.nsf (it was created in the root folder)

  3. Restarted the server.

  4. In Admin, under Directory → Directory Assistance, I have created a new doc. The Domain I used was the same as the domain name specified in the server doc.

  5. Make this domain available to was set to Notes Clients & Internet Authentication.

  6. I created a new NAB based on pubnames.ntf in a sub folder within data. In the directory profile that is displayed when you create a new NAB on the server, I have said the domain defined by this domino directory is the same domain as that given on the server doc and now in the directory assistance setup.

  7. I pasted a db link for the new NAB db in the replicas section of the Directory Assistance doc created in step 4.

  8. I restarted the server again.

  9. Opened the new nab and made a new person doc in there, by using the Add Person action button. I put in a first name of Test, Last name of User, username of Test USer, short name of TUser and set an internet password.

  10. I added the user to the ACL for my website on this server and then tried to log in to the site but it won’t allow me to connect.

What have I not done??

Subject: Setting up a second NAB

I’ve sorted it - found that putting the main Domain name on for the server in the DA document caused problems. Creating a new unique domain name (can be anything not already used) solved the problem.
