Setting top and bottom margins

Hey Everybody, I’m new to Notes development and have a question.

I am trying to set the top and bottom margin of elements in my form. I want to have control over the spacing (up and down) between elements.

I have set my left and right margins without a problem; however, I can not find a setting for top or bottom margins. I have tried adding a shared CSS resource with the style

  • margin-top: 5px; -

but that didn’t do anything.

By default there is too much spacing (where background shows through) between the main elements of the form.

my form structure is as follows:

<table>
<row>

<row>

<row>
<table>

I’d appreciate any you can offer.

And you just might make me a fan of Notes/Domino :slight_smile:

Thank you,

Nicholaus Malone

If you really did set a correct CSS body attribute, it should have worked. I use it myself all the time.

There is another way, and that means going after the ‘old’ body attribute.

In the HTML Body attributes of the form, you can have:

“body margintop="0" marginleft="0"”

This should fix it.

But honestly, your CSS stylesheet should have done the trick as well. You must have done something wrong.

Thanks for the reply, I was out on the weekend.I suppose I can change the body attribute. Where do I access this?

As for the CSS, should use the style

  • table {…} or,

  • body {…}?
