Setting keyfilename= windows logon name

Hi All,

We are working on implementing Lotus Notes with Citrix and right now are creating a notes.ini file in order to create a silent install.

Here’s the issue:

We have a script run to retrieve the user’s .id file by going to the server, searching for their windows logon name:

if not exist u:\notes\data%USERNAME%.id xcopy /s “\servername\tis\Lotus Notes IDs%USERNAME%.id” u:\notes\data

This successfully pulls the .id file and puts it in the working directory. Now, the issue lies in the notes.ini file. When I want to point it to the .id file i can’t use the command:

keyfilename=u:\notes\data%username%.id

because the %username% doesn’t return the username from windows, but from notes rather.

Here is a quick explaination:

My windows username would be jferraro@company.com (so it’s jferraro). The username on notes will be “Jeff Ferraro”. The id file is named jferraro.id.

SO what i need to do is figure out how to get the notes.ini file to pull my windows logon name rather than the notes username.

ANy ideas? Need more details?

Have the script that copies the file rename it to user.id

Since it’s in a folder specific to the user, no need to have unique file names.

Thanks, that worked like a charm. My next issue, in making it fully silent when running is the username field…

On windows, my logon name is jferraro.

In notes, the logon name is Jeff Ferraro.

Is there somewhere I can auto-populate the Username= section in notes.ini. I’m not sure where I could pull that from.

That is something I haven’t tackled.
