Setting Internet Browser Setting via script or policy

Currently our Lotus Notes R 6.5.1 clients have their Internet Browser setting in their location document set to “Notes with Internet Explorer”.

We want to change this setting “globally” to Microsoft Internet Explorer. This would launch a new IE session and window outside of Lotus Notes when they click on a web address in an email message.

How can I do this?

Lotusscript might be an answer but I don’t know how to begin. I understand that in R.6 you can setup user desktop policies that can “push” changes out to clients.

What would be the best approach?

Thanks

Create a Policy document and then create a Desktop Settings document for that policy. The browser setting is on the Basics tab under Browser Options.
