Is there a way to set up a different color from a forwarded email that is received. We had set up one of our employee to receive all new emails from an ex-employee. So it basically gets forwarded to her. Is there a way to change those forwarded emails to a different color? Please advise! Thank you in advance!!!

As Jiri mentioned, the row colors shown in the mail file are set in the Mail File Preferences.
The value of the FROM field in the mail message is checked against the settings specified in the Mail File Preferences.
Since you are currently forwarding the mail from one mail file to another, the value of the FROM field will be identical for the forwarded mail. If you want to have different row colors based on the original sender, try to copy the mail, not forward it, from the ex-employee’s mail file. This way the value of the FROM field will be the original sender’s name.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the reply. But I am still abit confused. I want all forwarded mails that she receives (from the ex employees inbox) to have the same colour.
can you just clarify how you go about doing that?
Thanks again!

Since you want all mail forwarded from the ex-employee’s mail file to have the same row coloring, you can simply add the ex-employee’s name to the Mail Preferences
I am assuming that you are using a rule in the ex-employee’s mail file to forward these mails to the new employee. You probably also want to check the document properties of the forwarded mails to ensure that the FROM field value is the name of the ex-employee.
The new employee can open his/her mail file and from the Inbox, click the Tools action button
then choose Preferences to get the dialog
then choose the Mail tab and Colors subtab
for the sender name, input the first name last name of the ex-employee and select the desired colors
