@SetHTTPHeader & Redirection

Hello everyone,

I just want to understand something. I have made a form with a computed text on it. This is what I have put in the computed text: @SetHTTPHeader(“Location”; “http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf”). I was looking for a way to redirect the browser with no possibility to intercept the HTML before the redirection (as you can do if you change the location with javascript or do a REFRESH in the META tag).

My db was checked for SSL and I made a mistake and called my form with “http://blablabla/myDB.nsf/myForm?OpenForm” and it worked (in IE)!!! But as soon as I tried with the correct link “https://blablabla/myDB.nsf/myForm?OpenForm”, the number “1” appeared on the page with the Submit button.

All this is because I’m lazy and looking for a simpler way than hiding every parts of my form with a formula. And even so, the form tag is always visible!

Is this @SetHTTPHeader formula is supposed to work? And if not, does somebody know of a better way to redirect effectively … BTW, I’m testing for the existence of a cookie and if it’s not there, I want to be able to redirect the intruder.

Thank you,

Emmanuel

The Location header field is only defined for responses with a status of 201 (“created”) or 3XX (moved or redirected). Your database is responding with a status code of 200 (OK).

Hi Mr Rogers,

Why am I not surprised that it is you who is responding!?! And please, be patient with me. So why did it worked with the wrong link? Is this because Domino is redirecting the browser with the “https://” call?

Thanx

Emmanuel

I have no idea why you are not surprised, but yes, if the database is set to “Require SSL connection”, Domino redirects http requests to https.
