Exec’s and others asked if there is a way to monitor incoming mail using a visual indicator (i.e. like the blackberry does with a blinking led) and/or associate a sound based on mail from a user or a response to a sent message.
Subject: I don’t think so
With push mail enabled (ie. iphone settings, MailContactsCalendars, FetchNewData=On) and the new mail sound switched on, then all you get from the iphone is a badge on the mail icon showing the unread count and a little bing noise when new mail arrives. I think that’s all it’s capable of doing.
