session.GetEnvironmentString on web

Hi,

Im trying to set and get environmentString´s on the web, but I cant make it work. If I use the following code, it will print an alert, but with no value.

'-------------------------------------------------------------------

Dim session As New NotesSession

Print "<script>alert('" & session.GetEnvironmentString( "HusqvarnaHomepageVersion" ) & "');"

Print "history.go(-1)</script>"

'-------------------------------------------------------------------

I read in this forum that you don´t set the environmentString on the user session but one global value for the server. Is this true? Is there any possiblilty to set a value on the user´s local notes.ini from the web?

This application will work on both the notes client and the web, and I must get it to work. Anyone help me?

No, you can’t use environment variables on the web.

I expect you want to look at profile documents, but without saying what you’re attempting to do it’s hard to say. The designer help also suggests using CGI variables as an option.
