Session authentication and IBM HTTP 1.3.26

Hi all - if anyone could help out with this I’d be much obliged

We want to use IBM HTTP Server to front end the Domino applications. I have followed the information in the Admin help database and technote 1104930 and configured the plugin file.

This work perfectly and all *.nsf requests are passed on to the Domino server.

However, if in Domino we have set session Authentication to Single or Multiple servers and try to access a Domino application that requires authentication (even names.nsf), I am prsented with the session authetication login - ie, a form rather than dialog box. When I enter my credentials and click on login the browser says unable to connect. On my server there is a crash in APACHE.EXE saying memory cannot be read. Domino remains fine. If you go direct to the Domino HTTP stack authentication is fine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you using one server box or more than one?

What are you using Apache for?

So what port is the IBM HTTP Server on?

What port is Apache on?

You need to tell me more about your configuration.

Hi Rolf and anyone who may have searched under this topic.

This problem occurred because i used the plugin files from the DATA\DOMINO\PLUGINS\WAS5\W32 directory.

When I used the plugins from the WAS4 directory everything was fine.

Certainly strange because we’re using WAS5 - but there you go at least the problem is solved
