I have a servlet that is used to generate graphs from domino data. An agent is also used to build a report initially, and then uses img tags to display the graphs (which calls the servlet).
The problem being is that the memory usage on the server is shooting up by about 2 or 3 megs every call. I’ve gone through the entire servlet checking for memory leaks and can’t seem to find any problems. All notes objects are being recycled.
I’ve run a test on the memory the jvm has and at the start of the servlet it has ~13mb and at the end it still has ~13mb.
I’ve also checked the thread count and that is stable and doesn’t really change.
I’m all out of ideas. I did think the lotusscript agent maybe the culprit, but I’ve never experienced these kind of problems with web agents before.
I’ve just run another test on the agent, but without using it to build the image tags for the graph (hence the servlet isn’t called), and it appears to be this causing the memory usage to shoot up.
Anyone got any ideas on how to work out what’s happening ? I thought lotusscript cleared all of its own objects up.
Thanks in advance,
Ben
