Can anyone tell me the names of the Windows services that should be running on a 9.0.1 Domino server? I do not have access to my server and am being told that one of my servers is running IBM Domino Servers and IBM Domino Diagnostics and the other one has both of these disabled and has Lotus Domino Server service started and set as automatic. Both servers were upgraded some time ago from 8.5 to 9.0.1. The server that is running the Lotus Domino Server service is the primary server in this cluster.
Appreciate any assistance on this.
Regards,
Sharon
Subject: Service names
If you install 9.x, you’ll get these services by default:
IBM Domino Diagnostics (CIBMDomino)
IBM Domino Server (CIBMDominoData)
The value in parentheses will vary depending on your installation path. I wouldn’t worry too much about these, though, because you can change the display name to be anything you want. What matters is what version is actually running.
Subject: IBM Domino Server / Diagnostics is for 9.x
The Windows services for Domino 9.0.1 are ‘IBM Domino Server’ and ‘IBM Domino Diagnostics’. The Domino 8.5.x services are ‘Lotus Domino Server’ and ‘Lotus Domino Diagnostics’. The two services also include the program and data directory in parenthesis. For example, c:\brasiltest\data:
Is Domino 9.0.1 starting automatically as expected on the the primary server in the cluster that has “Lotus Domino Server” service started and set as automatic? Or is the previous 8.5.x server starting?
