Quick question regarding merging servers. I did some search in 7 forum as well but I cannot find anything (maybe I am just serching wrong…)
Anyone knows what servers can reside together?
(all providing enough hardware support)
ie: I guess I can add the Documentation server we have to the Quickr server. But could I add the Sametime server to this?

The different operating systems can support different things. For example Sameitme and Quickr on Windows is not supported, but is on the iSeries.
Also load would have an impact on whether you should merge some functions onto a single server.
Subject: Different OS on clusters
CarlThere would be one zSeries machine and one nSeries. (the nSeries would be the external cluster).
On the z, I would have 3 VM guests. Some would have multiple servers (Partitioned) but if I could reduce the number of real server, it would be great.
Now, if merging is supported only on one side and not the other, then we may have a problem.
In the end, all of them would be virtual on both sides (Z and N) with full clustering (except the appplication and the BES server.)
