We have several servers that are ignoring adminp requests, for example: When renaming a user, all servers are supposed to respond to the “Rename in Access Control List” whether or not there are databases with the user to to be changed. Several of our servers are just ignoring the request like it is not there…even after days and weeks. Our servers range from 702 to 703, all Windows 2003 servers.Any ideas?
Thank you.
Subject: Servers not responding to admin requests
When you say, “not responding” do you mean that there is no status icon next to the request on the server(s) that do not have the target person’s name in any ACLs? If so then that is normal. Adminp will generate the request but it will not process it for people that the request does not apply. You may see an instance of a “working” (brick wall and hammer) icon next to the request but after it “processes” that icon will go away. The important thing is that the target person is renamed in all appropriate entities in the Domino Directory, ACLs, Reader / Author fields etc…
hope this help
