We have ahad a recent power outage resulting in the airocn units being knocked out in the server room. One of our Domino servers started crashing every 2 hours. Since the power was restored, the aircon has brought the server temp down to normal. Are there any Stats that the Domino can gather to monitor the platform temperature? Something that alerts can be created against?
Subject: Server Temperature Monitor?
Temperature monitoring is normally done by the BIOS IME, and normally monitors specific areas like the processor/s temperature and triggered shutdown temperatures should things be getting too hot. As for ambient temperature, I’d look to your server manufacturer and see what they offer.
Another thing to think about of course might be getting some redundancy on the aircon units in the server room…

Subject: Could you use Motherboard Monitor (MBM) ?
It will certainly let you monitor the CPU and case temps, and fire off warnings if temperature rises above a specified level.
