Server slow responding caused by router

Dear all, One of our mail server (cluster member) is slow responding during 8:00-9:00 am. But this can be solved by shut down the router task.

But I can’t shut down the router for a hour.

I found that the AI is always below 15 during that period.

Any idea ??

Thank you very much !!

Jeff

These types of issues are hard to troubleshoot. Is your router actually routing mail from 8-9? If so, what is generating all that mail? It could be users, agents, rules, etc. Is the server overloaded with users and they all arrive to work between 8 and 9 and start using mail heavily?Besides all that, we have found misconfigured anti-virus programs, backup programs, program documents, scheduled operating system tasks, replication (and more) can contribute to performance issues. You are lucky it happens at a certain time every day so you can troubleshoot it.

Sorry I don’t have a better answer, but performance issues are tough.
