If you install a domino server but re-start Windows before running domino for the first time, when you do run it for the first time, the server setup program will not run - nserver.exe just fails to do anything and no error/warning message is seen.
Took me a while to realise it but it’s because domino is installed to run as a service which obviously kicks in when you re-start Windows even though it hasn’t been set up yet. After it has been set up nserver.exe complains that its data is already in use if you try to run it again manually.
Hope this saves somebody some time.
