Due unexpected power problem our server shut down for some time. i restarted server . then its took a long time to start. It was showing “consistensy check on log.nsf”, why its coming like that? is ther any solution for this?

Dear veena
This means that your Domino server either crashed or was still running when you restarted the box. A consistency check is a normal Domino server response to test any database that were open when the system went down (unless you have configured some of the more advanced options). The system is basically running the FIXUP server task against the databases. Log.nsf is always open so this usually is consistencychecked. If it is taking a long time then it is possible that your log.nsf is large. This can happen for a number of reasons. By default, only a rolling 7 days of information is held in the log, but how big it gets depends on the levels of logging for various server tasks you have enabled.

Your log.nsf may have grown very large , close the server forcefully and then rename the log.nsf
and start the server , server will immediately create a new log.nsf
