hi there,i have strange problem.
when i try to open my notes client on the notes server,and i do this in the same time the server is up and running it starts very very slowly i do not know why!!every thing was ok and no additional software or hardware were installed.i mean when the server is up and running normally,now if i try to open the notes client of the server it starts very slowly i open it in about 6 minutes and this is not in the start up only,no also while i am working.
this did not happen before.can any one help me in this?

Hi Esa,
What I would suggest is that you check the services running on your server and then check the resources of the h/w on which you are running your server. The problem may lie amount of resources available on your server.

I have never done this on a notes client running on a sever, but we do this all the time on Notes Clients running on client machines. So proceed at your own risk!!!
Whenever a client reports that their machine is runing very slowly, we ask them to shut down the Notes client, then delete cache.dsk from the notes directory. If the size of this file is 5 megs or larger, we are pretty cetain this is a problem. In the process of re-starting, Notes will create a new cache.dsk, and the machine runs a lot faster.
