Server Mail Rules and Send to option

Hello,In a mail file you have the option to create a rule and use the action ‘send to’ so the mail can be sent to another user.

Does anyone know if this functionaility is to be added into the mail server rules.

I know I can use journalling but the issue I have is that I want to journal all messages to a local journal database and also have the ability to send certain messages to mail-in database based on certain criteria.

The only way I’be been able to achieve this is to setup journalling to a mail-in database (based on a mail template) and create a rule in the mail database (journal) to send to another mail-in database based on my criteria. This sort of works, however, I really want to use local journalling so that I can benefit from the automatic database management. The problem is that the mail journal template does not contain any rules. I have tried replacing the design on the mail journal with the mail design but then journalling doesn’t work.

Please can anyone help?

Never tried this, but you might have been on the right track with using the mail design.

Try to create a TEST Journal DB, Then copy all of the design elements from a mail template in to the TEST Journal DB. Essentially having BOTH designs residing in one database. Just make sure you get all scripts and design elements. I have done a hybrid of this before.

Thanks for your reply.I have copied some elements already but I will copy them all.

The problem with this hybrid solution seems to eb that the rules don’t work since mail isn’t deilvered into the inbox. You can see the mail message in the all documents view but not in the inbox.
