Server MAIL folder invisible

I am a new admin here, I am seeing one problem in Lotus Domino admin client , our Lotus Domino server mail folder is not visible , where as everything working fine. I have got checked the SUSE server for the folder it is there. What could be the problem ? can any body help me to rectify this ?

Thanx Nathan, I checked the ACL’s of Domino server,actually we have 2 servers one is HUB server(suse 8) and other is cluster for it,Changes on hub will get replicated to cluster server which is on Windows platform. in this case I may not be able to see mail folder in cluster server. I am very much able to work with same Admin id on Cluster server,any suggesstions Please

There will be a directory ACL on the mail folder… you do not have access to it so you cant see it…

Check the mail folder for a txt file and delete it (or get someone to change the entry)

Thanx for the response , I have checked the ACL and it is fine, We do have one txt file on SUSE linux Lotus Domino Mail server in mail directory, As admin with same login I am able to view other servers in domain. What else will be the reason. ?

This is a Directory ACL. Not an access control list.

The Directory ACL lets Domino know who can view what is in a folder. If the text file in the MAIL folder is called MAIL.ACL deleting this will allow all to view the MAIL folder. It is a way of restricting access in Domino not the OS. If it was a OS restriction you would not be able to view it in SUSE.

I do not know why it is there but you may find that it was created by accident when trying to change a Database ACL. Check with someone who know first, or if you are meant to be the person who knows - cut and paste it somewhere else. Once it has been removed restart your client and you should see the folder and files correctly.
