I write one command this morning in lotus domino command for test it . it is : load ftp
no message appear
But since , After this command impossible to send domino command in lotus domino console !!
it says : Commande non valide.
When I open the Lotus domino Administrator, tabs server, and select tab users … the message appears in my console

Hi,
FTP is not a valid task in Domino (I think it was included in R3/4 but should be gone again).
I have similar problems when dropping users where after I got similar problems - server not responding even it was running fine. I got a fix for it and has well been included in 6.5.4. Check the SPR for more info.

BEFORE DOING THIS COMMAND, the remote command works perfectly, nothing problem to my server, it is trange, I think, the fault is this command executed in lotus domino console … load FTP ??
What can be the solution ? perhaps, the restart of the server is the solution …
Where is the fix you talking about for my version 602 CF2 ?

yep,
Like before doing the “drop users” the server is running fine. Could be the same problem. Lotus has the fix - you will have to contact them for it. The solution is to restart the server. Again, contact Lotus. Ask if it is related to TN 1188504.
Workaround would be not to “load ftp”…

Ones again, the only things I do is to run this command in domino consol to test if the ftp task load.

This was the same case for me. When I did the command I could not contact the server again.
When you buy the software from IBM you get a support contract as well.

You’re version of server was 6.02.cf2 when you have got the problem ?

In my home, i reproduce the similar problem in V Domino 6.5.1 in my desktop.I think it is a big bug !!
after load FTP , impossible to run command , it says command not valid …
you must send : QUIT in command console server ( the server don’t shut down ) it’s allow to quit the mode FTP -
After the command console work !! everything is ok .
I do this thing this morning to my server production
QUIT in command console server
everyThing is ok for me !!
and after the task update catalog run !
It’s very dangerous !! because when FTP is activate this night the tasks “Database Designer started” and
"Starting update of database catalog " don’t works !!
you must do QUIT and after the task runs !
