There is a technote named:

Title:

Using NSD for Domino Servers and Notes Clients on Windows NT, 2000 and XP

Product: Lotus Domino > Lotus Domino Server > Versions 6.0, 5.0, 4.6, 4.5, 6.5

Platform(s): Windows 2000, Windows NT

Date: 2005-11-30

Doc Number: 7003599

I’m not able to find it on the web at this address:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27003599

Maybe it was retired.

I’ve seen this once, but on 4.5 where the mail.box contained a “corrupt” e-mail…

So their test with renaming mail.box’es could be the solution… Just remember to check the old mail.box files for pending messages, and copy those one at a time back to the server copy - if any are found, that is.

If this isn’t the cause, I would try to disable virus scanners (especially extension manager addins etc.).
