Server Exiting: C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Domino\Data is already in use

Hello,

I am trying to start the server for the first time after a new installation and it shows the following error:

Server Exiting: C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Domino\Data is already in use

Server Version: 8.0.2

Platform: Windows 2003 server

Any help on the problem would be highly appreciated.

Subject: antivirus software?

If you have AV software running on the machine, make sure it is set to ignore the Domino directories. The Domino server will not share it’s files with other programs.
