Server error – Maximum number of memory segments that Notes can support has been exceeded

Hi, we have a Domino 8.5 server with fixpack 1 running on a Windows 2008 server.We use it for our homepage and for out of office staff who can check their mailboxes in a browser.

It has run for about six months without problems, but lately it has started to ‘crash’ about once a week.

It doesn’t stop entirely, as you can still browse the home page. But replication with the other mail-servers stops, and when you try to open a database, it says “Server error – Maximum number of memory segments that Notes can support has been exceeded.”

We then restart the server and it starts to work again as it should, but in a few days the problem re-turns.

Any ideas anyone?

You should open a PMR with Lotus Support but also feel free to mail me the nsd and I’ll take a quick look…
