How can I restrict an administrator from editing the server document and connection document? He should have the permission to create, modify and delete users but should not have the access to edit our server and connection document.

Author access in the names.nsf ACL with UserCreater and UserModifier roles checked should be enough to create and modify people without giving access to edit any other documents.

I have given Author access in the names.nsf with UserCreator and UserModifier roles checked. Also in the Server Security Document I have given Administrator Rights to the person. After this, the user can create, delete users and can edit users to a limit. He does not have permission to change the home mail server of any user.

Just place him in the view-only administrator tab under Server document security tab.

I got the problem solved by editing the names.nsf in designer and unchecking the fields marked with “requires minimum editor permission”
