We have 2 servers in our Domino world. After upgrading to 8.5.1, one server’s config document still reports the Server Build Number as 6.5.1.
This server is our Sametime server. Installing Traveler on this server after the upgrade revealed this “confusion” over version as eveidenced from the Traveler Install Log:
DominoVersionAction:install
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - Unable to determine the version of the Domino Server. The Domino Server version may not be supported.
On the console, Show Server reports correctly: 8.5.1.
Anyone have an idea why this is? How can I fix it?

BTW, everything (Sametime, Traveler) that this server is supposed to do seems to be working fine AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. I just want to correct this problem before I discover that it IS causing other problems…
Subject: Check Admin4 is replication
…the requests get processed by the admin server for your domain so if you do not have replicas of the admin4.nsf on each server or they are not replicating then the requests will never reach the admin server to get processed
Subject: admin4 replication
thanks for the response, Doherty.
admin4.nsf is set to replicate between my 2 servers, but the replication history showed a replication last week and before that, in 2009!
I performed manual replication between my 2 replicas but it did not change the version nuber in the server doc…alas…
Subject: RE: Server doc shows version still 6.5.1 after upgrade to 8.5.1
IIRC, AdminP is in charge of updating this information in the server document. I’d start troubleshooting there. Maybe do an “AdminP Process All” at the command prompt? Take a look in the Admin4.nsf DB?
Subject: admin4 looks “normal”
no unprocessed requests. I did the Tell Adminp Process All just in case.
