Okay - after 6 instances I’ve decided it’s not me. We are running R6 on a RedHat 7 and setup Directory Assistance for the first time about 5 days ago. I don’t know that there is a correlation, but in the last three days our Server Doc has zeroed itself out five time. That is to say, all the sudden we realise the web sites and SMTP are not working. Open the server config doc and all the fields are set to nothing.
This all started in an attempt to setup DA so we could use a secondary NAB for a web site we are hosting. After setting up DA we were a little concerned that it wasn’t working (worked in R5, first attempt in R6) when all the sudden everything else stopped working. I am at my wits end.
Has anyone else seen this? Please, any suggestions will be appreciated. (there is also the fact the no one can authenticate against the secondary NAB - but this is a worse problem right now)
It appears also that every time this happens the domain doc gets killed. In other words, each time the server doc gets zapped the domain doc gets changed from type Global to Non-adjacent and all the data is gone. (ot it’s getting deleted and a blank one is created in its place)
Are you talking about Server documents or about Configuration documents?- Did you use the W32 Admin Client or the Web Admin Client to create/edit them?
What do you see when you open the Domino Directory directly using the standard Lotus Notes Client and browser the Configurations view?
What the heck is going on here? Is there anyone still alive at Iris that can tell me? I get up early, load the Admin Client, Switch to the Server Config doc and the only field with any info in it is the Server Name! I don’t know what to do. I’ve just disabled DirAssit since that is the only thing that changed before the problems began to occur. If that be the case we will have to go back to R5 so we can Authenticate our hosted sites.
