A couple of weeks ago we upgraded our server from 5.0.11 to 6.01cf since this time the server has crashed on average twice a day at no set time and not when any specific tasks are running the error is access_violation and it looks like nhttp is involved. Also http is hogging the cpu.
I notice from some postings that people seem to have been having similar problems has anybody managed to resolve this problem.
Thanks
Subject: Don’t know if it’s related, but
a customer of mine once had a similar problem on an R5 server with NNTP. It turned out one enduser posted something to a newsgroup using a Netscape 4.6 client. The post had a picture attached. Every time someone touched that document, the server crashed immediately. Are there any NSD logs? Have you checked them for a specific database name or something like that?

Thanks for your help.
The problem was caused by the :-
ninotes MIMEtoHTML translator
Basicly when the server tried to server up pages to users using inotes under certain conditions the server nhttp service crashed the server, Lotus are aware of this problem and issued us a hotfix which seems to cure the problem.
this fix will be included in 6.0.2
