Server Console -> "No Access to Console"

Hello!

I can’t get “Server Console” in the Administrator client to work when accessing a perticular server.

I’ve tried with 2 installations of the admin client.

The security configuration of the user on the server seems to be setup allright.

Is there a notes.ini-setting for disable/enable Server Console on the server?

Best Regards

Hi,

Do you have any special security for your servers?

I get exactly the same with one of my servers. No idea why it should be any different. I can access server fine using “Remote Serve Console” from a client.Weird.

Try to add TEMP and TMP environment system Variables on the server. And Reboot the sever.

Go to My coputer => Properties=> Environment Variables => System Variables

Make two entries

TEMP c:\temp

TMP c:\temp

Hope this may solve the problem

Thanks Benudhar, I can only imagine how you found that solution

I just wanted to confirm that this works. I had the same issue with a 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 server. Just remember to change the environment variable on the servers, and for the account that the service is running under.

One strange thing to note, I have other servers with the longer temp directory names (default) that I can access just fine… maybe it’s related to the overall length since the servers I have issues with run under accounts with a slightly longer name (they are “accountNameDEV” as opposed to just “accountName”, the short ones are 7 chars, the longer ones are 10 chars, the overall length of the full (bad) path is 56 chars)

Good One Benudhar that worked for me also…and I did not have to reboot either
