Server Connectivity with VPN

I am using the 8.5.1 client and the Cisco VPN Client V 5.0.00.0340.

When I attempt to connect to a server to open an application, I receive the message “Unable to find path to server”. I have attempted to connect using the name as well as the IP address without success.

I am able to ping the server from the command prompt.

I know this should be simple, but all of my usual means of correcting this kind of issu ein prior releases are not working.

This has impacted my schedule as well as my paycheck since I cannot bill for work that I am unable to install to the server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Subject: Pings and ports

Mary, if you can ping the HOSTNAME and IP address, then the problem may well be that port 1352 is not open to your server. The NotesConnect nping.exe tool will prove that. However, where it fails, it is useful to use the Trace in the Notes preferences ports section.

I would take a look at your Connection documents in your local address book. Verify the information in there is correct. You may also have to create a connection document.

Here’s an example.
