We need to allow another internal server to relay mail. It sends alerts should the Oracle database resident on the server fail. I set the following fields in the SMTP Inbound Restrictions (all others blank):
Allow messages only from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains: has IP in brackets + I added “root@admserv”
Perform Anti-Relay enforcement for these connecting hosts: set to external hosts
Exclude these connecting hosts from anti-relay checks: has IP in brackets + I added “root@admserv”
Exceptions for authenticated users: allow all authenticated users to relay (could this be causing problems since the server doesn’t authenticate? I’m thinking yes now… update: tried setting this section to “none” without success. I’m certain Domino considers “admserv” an external domain since abc.com is listed in global domain. Should I add “admserv” to the global domain doc?
note: I restarted router/update routing tables with no luck. Also, here is the message from the log. I must be missing something simple!
