Server automaticly signs design elements

Hello All,My company has recently set up a test environment with an 8.01 server. Something that happens that’s a real pain is that the server automatically signs design elements as soon as they’re edited.

I’ll make a change to a form and usually keep it open in the designer while I test it out. I’ll come back and make some more changes and when I save I get the message “Another copy of this document was saved while you were editing it” and it then creates a conflict design element. What’s happening is as soon as I save any design element, it then gets re-saved by the server, which updates the signature.

I’m guessing there’s a setting somewhere that can just be turned off, but we can’t find any documentation on it.

Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Subject: Solved: Auto Signing

Thanks for the response, we found the cause and you were right. We had Symantec anti virus running that was triggering on all updates to DB’s. For some reason it was also signing any updated design elements. It’s just a dev server so we were able to disable Symantec and the auto signing stopped.
