Does anyone know why server side archiving and local archiving are mutually exclusive? What is the reason Lotus does not want user mailboxes to get archived on schedule on the server while users also retain the ability to archive selected documents when they have the need to do so. In my setup archive mailboxes are located on the server.

I wonder if there is any way to have server side and client side archiving applied to all users by policy ?
The only way to let users archive manually is to let them change archiving settings but it’s really unsafe. How to freeze these settings ?
