I would like some advice on how best to separate Domino and Traveler. Currently, I run both on the same server, but traveler is using too many resources. I need to run them on separate servers. Can anyone give some advice or lead me to some documentation on how to do this without having to reregister everything?
Subject: RE: Separate Domino and Traveler
You are basically trying to migrate Traveler from one server to another, so the migration documentation should help:http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/xpDocViewer.xsp?lookupName=Administering+IBM+Notes+Traveler+9.0.1#action=openDocument&res_title=Planning_for_migration_A901&content=pdcontent
But the bottom line is that to keep from reregistering the devices, the Traveler server (whereever it is) has to have the same address that the devices are using. If you have to change the HTTP address that the devices are using, you’ll have to re-register them.
Subject: Move Mail to other server
I’d keep traveler where it is and prop up a new server in the domain. Migrate the mail users from the current server to the new server and you’ll be all set.
