i am using Lotus notes 6.0.2 CF1Server is R5.0.11
i realise that when i send a mail to myself or CC myself, the mail will disappear from the sent box after replication.
however mails that i did not include myself will still be in sent box. Is this normal.
I tried this on a number of machines. On some machines, a copy of the mail will be in both the inbox and sent box.
Is something wrong?

I do have another qn though. There is this partiucular local replica.
i sent a mail and cc to myself. The mail goes out to my mail box on server.
When i do a replication, i noticed that the mail was not replicated back to that local replica. Somehow the mail in the sent view got “copied” or “pasted” into then inbox.
i look at the document properties of the mail, and the attribute “Delivered date” is missing. This confirms that the mail had not been replicated back to the local replica.
Any idea what has happened? Thanks again

Hi, i discovered a strange phenomemon. if the machine time on my client machine is set forward , e.g like 30 mins, the scenario i described in the previous posting will occur. I.e. the mail sent to the server, residing in the inbox would not have a “delivered date” attribute.
if my client machine time is set slower (than the server time i suppose), everything behaves as normal.

I wrote that other reply for R5. Maybe something is different in R6. I do not know why the time affects it.

This problem is still present in 6.5.4.
Conditions:
User is using a local copy of their mailbox
They address the message to themselves (To:, CC:, or BCC:). It doesn’t matter if the message is also addressed to other people.
The message is delivered properly on next connection to Office or Network.
When replication occurs, this creates only a single document and moves the document from sent to Inbox on the local replica version. The server version only contains the Inbox message, which shows as Marked as Read.
Effectively, this issue gives the appearance that the message disappears from the Sent View.
If the user sends mail via his home server copy of his mailbox, the mail is delivered properly (as unread) to the Inbox, and a 2nd document is stored in the Sent View. This 2nd document is then replicated to other replica copies of the database included the local copy on the users laptop - as expected.
This is also reproduced when a user accesses his mailbox on a clustered server.
Conditions:
User A contacts Server X to access his mail.
Server X is down and User A is failed over to Server Y.
After a failover, User A works on his mail file replica on Server Y (not his home server). User A creates a mail message and addresses it to himself. The sent memo was saved in the mail database on ServerY, but the message was sent to the mail database on Server X (the home server). The cluster replicator replicates the mail database on either server and the received message in the Inbox has the sent message icon. Moreover, the sent message and received message are considered as one message in the All Documents view.
