In my sent folder the dates are all wierd. I have emails that are dated in the future that were sent last week. Things I have sent today are fine for today’s date. AHhh did I lose it over the weekend? What is going in?
Thanks

Subject: Sent date in future 1 month?!?!?!?
were you playing with your PCs date? Notes gets lots of its dates from the client. We saw some strange things happen when people were using one of our apps to track bugs in another app. They were testing time zones and alerts in the other app and were switching the PC clock a lot. Had to do some tricky work to get our bug tracking app to stamp the issues with the server date instead of the client date.
hope that helps

And the reason is that while the Windows date/time dialog is displayed, any changes are being made to the PC clock in real-time, even if you press Cancel. (I don’t see why they did that … it’s not a good design.)
Notes sees this change, and tries to update it’s internal clock to match the PC’s clock. However, Notes will never set it’s internal clock “backwards” into the past, as this has the potential to “mess things up badly”.
So if you open the Windows date dialog, and change the calendar into the future, “just to look”, then cancel, Notes will have set it’s clock into the future, and you’ll need to stop it and restart it. If you’ve replicated during that time, you might have a mess to clean up.
