SendTo ->MailRecipient on WinXP does not work

We using Windows XP Pro with Lotus Notes 6.0.1 CF1. When a regular domain user right clicks on a file ->chooses SendTo->MailRecipient, it brings up an error:Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close error window and the prompt to send an error report to Microsoft.

it then closes and windows refreshes i guess. when i login as an Admin, it works fine. Does anybody have any info on how to fix this? please let me know ASAP. Thanks

Aaron

This is a similar problem that we face with many other applications. What works when logged in as the admin does not work when logged in as a normal user. This seems to be an issue with Win2K and above. We have tried deleting profiles from within windows but no luck. The only easy solution to this is to assign the user as a power user or administrator on the XP desktop. You will find this in the control panel of the winXP under user management. Mind you, you will have to log in as admin to assign the power user or administrator rights to the user you need to log in as admin.

Hope this helps.

Check your Internet Options->Programs tab and see what the E-mail setting is. My guess is that it’s not set to Notes.

It may well be that Notes isn’t even an option in the drop down list as well. This is a known issue and can be fixed - search the R4/R5 forum for it.
