Whenever we send a message between internal users, the sender name format is always "Sender Name/this@that. Is there any way to have it just use the CN? Thanks!

You do not want to do that.
What if you have two Lance Reynolds and you use the OU as a tiebreaker as to who should get the mail?
Also, is this a hindrance and if so, why?

I see your point here but we’re such a small company this isn’t going to be an issue.

I think it’s more of a cosmetic issue with management than anything.

A little more info here.
If an internal user sends an e-mail to an outside user and CC’s an internal user, the outside user may need to do a ‘reply to all’ and will not be able to reply to the other internal user because their sender name will be ‘sender name/this@that’.

Here is what the CC field looks like to an outside client when a user in the public address book has been copied:
Cc: “Test Notes” Test_Notes/TEST@Domain
Putting a valid Internet address in the person doc and the pab has no affect.

Than that is a problem with your MX record or something else in your configuration. exactly what I could not say.
