Since I upgraded my client and server to 8.5, I experience two issues. First, the internet email address in the location document gets cleared in case I have no internet address in my person document in the NAB. At the same time when I have my email address in the person document, no matter what is in the location document, the email is sent with return address from the person document in the NAB. This is very frustrating since I have multiple internet domains and before I used locations to write from different email addresses and now this seems not to work. Can it be solved somehow in the configuration?
I had the same issue and eventually dug up the answer - While the Location doc is in Edit mode, click the Actions pull-down and go to Advanced - there you’ll see Set Update Flag which I believe is a toggle. If it is set (default) the email address in the location doc will be reset to match the email address in the user’s document in the Directory.
Seems convoluted and less than intuitive, but hitting it after modifying the Internet mail address field worked for me.
I found out that the problem for me was in the field ImailAddressUpdatedBy of the location document. I was recently recertified to a new notes fullname. In the field of most locations my old name was listed. Only in one (the one which was active as my id was updated) had the new name and there it worked. I compared field by field to the others and so I found out, changed the other locations, too, and tested. Now it is working again for me with Notes 8.5.1.
