We are using the Standard client on Windows XP:
1.) Close Lotus Notes.
2.) Right-click on a file and select “Send To > Mail Recipient”
3.) Lotus Notes BASIC client launches with a new email message prepared with the attachment.
4.) A few seconds later, the STANDARD client will load as well.
We can’t figure out why the BASIC client launches in this case. We’ve reviewed the entire Windows registry and cannot find any refrences to either “nlnotes.exe” or “notes.exe -sa”. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
Subject: “Send to Mail Recipient” issue w/Standard Client
We are seeing this issue as well. Currently looking for a resolution. It has something to do with the MAPI call being made by Windows and other applications.
Subject: An SPR has been created for this
IBM/Lotus was able to reproduce the issue and has created an SPR #JRGE7RTQEL. Not sure when it will be fixed.
Subject: Duplicate SPR
It looks like the original SPR is #TPAS7QNHJY. The one in my previous post is a duplicate and has been closed. This is supposedly fixed in 8.5.1 .
