I have been assigned the task of modifying a list of databases to update them from supporting Notes email users to Exchange email users. I am comfortable with updating the emails to account for doclinks that will no longer be supported and there will be some web-enablement involved in other databases. My biggest concern is the database that runs an agent that creates tasks for items coming due within a designated time frame. It currently emails a document of type “Task” to a user’s Notes email. I have tried to send an email with vCalendar information and a content-type of “text/calendar” to the Exchange user but it doesn’t process properly. I tried to test sending a task directly from my Notes mail file to an Exchange user and it successfully sent a .htm and .ics file, but when I tried to process the .ics file it gave the following error:
Cannot import vCalendar file. This error can appear if you have attempted to save a recurring Lunar appointment in iCalendar format.
To avoid this error, set the appointment option to Gregorian instead of Lunar.
Does anyone have any other ideas of how I can proceed or are there any products that can facilitate this process?
