Selecting Documents and Switching Views

I used to be able to select some documents in a View A, then hold the crtl key whilst switching to View B, and the documents would remain selected in View B. This was many years ago, but a few years ago a particulr upgrade (can’t remember which) stopped it from working and over the years various upgrades hadn’t fixed the problem.

I’ve recently upgraded to Notes 8.5.1 FP2 and still the same problem.

Is the universe against me; Or is there a fix to this problem?

This is really strange. I have posted about this before, and I have seen other people (albeit just a few) who have a similar issue…
