I want to select the response documents in a view that has been created before a certain date, but I only want to select the most recent one created for each main document. So a main document may have 4 response documents created for it but I only want the most recent one (created before the cut off date) to be displayed in a view (for reporting purposes).
Help???!!!
Subject: Select response document with the most recent date.
Sorry Mike - I didnl;t actually fully read your posting!!! Apologies for my first reply
In order to only show a certain document in the view, you will need to set a field on the latest response document and modify the view’s selection formula.
To do this, when you create the latest response document, set a field (eg: Latest=“Yes”), then in the PostSave event, use some script to get the parent document, then get all the responses (that does not include the new one!) and set Latest=“No”
In the Designer Help, look at NotesDocument.Responses for some ideas

There is no way you can do this with a view. You can’t choose to include/exclude one document based on the selection of another.
Depending on the intent, you could run an agent to get all parents with the specified response. Also, you might do something in the postopen event to show it from within the form.

Mike,
Using what? @Formula or Script
And in what context? From a view, form, agent?
