I am looking for suggestiong or methods on how I can “Web-enable” a function which I have in Notes Clients.
The function works like this: a user ticks at least one document in a view, clicks a button, and the details of the selected document(s) will be copied to this new form for submission.

Pls have a logic .
1-Create view with check box , checkbox value should be document unid .
2-On click of button call ajax function which will call one LS agent and will pass the argument as selected doc UID.
3-Write LS agent which collect the doc UNID from the ajax call (using Request_Content), will use getDocumentBYUNID function to get document details .
4-Get all values into the string and return those values into ajax call.
5-Collect all passed value into the JS function (From where originally you called ajax function).
6- Create the form which u wana submit with the received value.
7- Pass all the received values into the new form’s field and according to your req either open the form or else submit it .
