I’m running Notes 8 on Fedora 9. It worked great until yesterday. The problem is due to a Fedora system update.I get App. core dumps and Java Core dumps.
In dmesg I have this:
notes2w[5044]: segfault at 0 ip 001a4fe5 sp 05a33820 error 6 in libj9prt23.so[195000+21000]
So the embedded IBM Java is crashing. I’m trying to find what was updated yesterday.

I found what causes Lotus Notes to crash.Fedora 9 comes with Firefox 3 Beta 5. As Firefox 3.0 is now available as an update through PackageIt, it also update xulrunner.
It’s this update that causes Lotus Notes 8 to crash. I think it’s xulrunner that is braking something. I have opened a BUG at Bugzilla
Maybe I should open one with IBM for Lotus Notes Client 8 ?
